👤 About Us

Built by developers,
for developers

RegexLab started from a simple frustration: every regex tester on the web was slow, bloated, or full of ads. So we built the one we always wanted — fast, private, and genuinely useful.

🎯 Our Mission

Regular expressions are one of the most powerful — and misunderstood — tools in a developer's kit. Our mission is to make regex approachable, fast to test, and easy to debug, without the friction of accounts, paywalls, or surveillance.

Everything runs in your browser using the native JavaScript regex engine. No patterns are sent to any server. Ever. What you type stays on your device.

✦ What We Stand For

⚡
Speed First
Matches update as you type — zero debounce lag for short patterns. No spinners. No loading states. Real-time means real-time.
🔒
Privacy by Default
No cookies. No analytics scripts. No fingerprinting. Your regex patterns and test strings never leave your browser.
♿
Accessible
Full keyboard navigation, ARIA labels, live regions, and high-contrast colour choices. Useful for everyone, not just power users.
📱
Mobile Ready
Responsive layout from 320 px up. Test a pattern on your phone while commuting — it works just as well as on a wide monitor.
🎨
Developer Joy
Audio feedback, particle animations, match-position canvas, capture group cards — tools should be delightful, not just functional.
🚫
Ad Free
No banner ads, no sponsored results, no upsells. If we ever need to monetise, it will be through an honest, opt-in model only.

🛠 The Stack

RegexLab is intentionally minimal on the server side. The heavy lifting is all JavaScript — the same engine your browser uses to run regex in production code.
